Connecting Landscapes, Protecting Wildlife.
Nestled in the heart of Laikipia, Ewaso Enclave Conservancy bridges a crucial gap in the region's conservation landscape. Our mission is to transform this land into a secure sanctuary for its resident wildlife while fostering a thriving corridor for migrating pachyderms. By blending sustainable stewardship with unwavering dedication, Ewaso Enclave aspires to be a beacon of hope ensuring a balance between wildlife conservation and a thriving ecosystem.

"Where Wildlife Finds Sanctuary"

Our core initiatives
We focus on preserving biodiversity, empowering local communities, and promoting sustainable tourism, ensuring a harmonious balance between wildlife conservation and community development for a thriving ecosystem.
Collaborative Dimensions

Wildlife Conservation and Rangeland Management
This initiative aims to sustainably conserve and maintain a diverse wildlife habitat that supports a healthy ecosystem.

Operations and Security
This program aims to strengthen the conservancy's administrative and management systems for effective natural resource management.

Community Outreach and Engagement
This program focuses on undertaking conservation education, awareness, and livelihood support initiatives to empower local communities.

Our Experience has shown that science alone is not the only criteria on which to base Wildlife Policy and that traditional knowledge and adjoining community sentiment have their role to play. Such understanding will remain as our critical objective in approach.
Wildlife In Sustainable Ecosystems
( WISE )
Ewaso Enclave Conservancy's ( EEC ) conservation application is to provide biodiversity a path forward to recovery, evaluating environmental stresses causing negative impacts on our wildlife. Guided by our evolving systems of principles based on recovery management and complementing a balanced success in all elements of our biodiversity;
-
Environmental impact assessment that have detrimental effects to our ecosystems
-
Evaluating scientific expertise on stress-related impacts on Wildlife
-
Evaluating data on our threatened and endangered species
-
Protecting EEC migratory corridors, dispersal areas and buffer zones during seasonal impacts
-
Monitoring land performance under our Savannah “brittle environment” landscape description.
Of all ecological factors, climatic impacts present the most troubling challenges due to their uncertain effects. Some of these changes will have unexpected consequences as habitat and species distribution change.
This impact of uncertainty will further complicate planning and dilute the effectiveness of science and hands-on experiences that are required for our wildlife management at EEC.
To meet our economic and ecological challenges, critical fundraising campaign contributions are needed to sustainably support our current research and recovery practices intended to safeguard diversity. Funding collaborations will also mitigate future conservation requirements and additional threats to Ewaso Enclave Conservation efforts.
Conservation success is possible with clear incentives despite upcoming challenges, we at EEC have ambitious and generous goals.
